General Donation

Your support of the library allows us to continue providing services and resources to the residents of Rostraver Township and Westmoreland County. Libraries support literacy and education, provide access to information, enhance the quality of life, and build community. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to help us continue providing the materials, services, and programs that enrich and enhance our community. A general monetary donation can also be made in memory or in honor of a loved one.

We encourage unrestricted giving, as it allows the Library to determine our most pressing needs. Decisions on the restricted nature of any gifts, and their acceptance or refusal, will be made by the Library Director. If the donor does not request restrictions, all gifts will be considered unrestricted.

Book Memorials

Make a contribution in memory or honor of a loved one. Our Memorial program offers you an opportunity to donate funds for the purchase of a book, movie, or other circulating material to be added to the library’s collection. Your gift will bear a plate naming the donor and the person memorialized.

You may request a specific subject area, or the library’s staff will select a book in an area in need of new materials. The library cannot accommodate all requests of specific titles, and all title selections are at the sole discretion of library staff. If a purchased memorial is no longer able to circulate for any reason (wear and tear, accidental damage, etc.) within 5 years of purchase, RPL will make every effort to replace it. The Library may not be able to replace an item after 5 years.

For memorials, letters of acknowledgment and appreciation will be sent to both the donor and the family of the person who is being honored.
